Hi, I'd like to introduce myself... My name is
Kimicka (better known to the children as Ms.
Kim). I have owned and operated The KIDZ
GARDEN since 2001. I am also the mother of 6
children, 4 of which has successfully attended
my program.
I began my career in nursing, I loved my job
making taking care of people. However, as a
mother. It was hard for me leave my children
and work long hours. I was missing out on
important milestones in their development. So, I
changed jobs and was faced with having a hard
time finding care that was sufficient to the
needs and wants that I needed for my children.
I found care, however I was not pleased. I quit
my job, I researched what I needed to do to
become licensed as a daycare, and began my
new career as a Child Care Provider.
In February 2001, I got licensed as a daycare
and since, have been growing.
The journey so far has been wonderful, I've
learned a lot of new things and met many
wonderful people along the way. The journey
has also lead me to go back to school to further
my education.
I want my program to be just as good, if not
better than some of the larger programs out
there. I believe that children are a product of
their environment. That is why I strive to
provide and maintain my program in a homelike
environment. I go above and beyond the
standard.
Children are my business, and I mind my
business!
